| John D. Allen is President of Wilden Pump & Engineering, LLC, the world's largest manufacturer of air operated, double diaphragm pumps. Wilden is a subsidiary of Dover Corp., a Fortune 500 firm. Allen has traveled extensively for 25 years, doing business in over 60 countries. As Wilden's International Director in the 80's, Allen spearheaded Wilden's effort to construct what is now considered to be the industry's strongest channel partner system worldwide. Allen is currently focusing on Wilden's wholly owned enterprise in China (Wei Li) and its newest acquisition in Germany (Almatec GmbH), as well as facilitating Wilden's lean manufacturing initiative. Fluent in Spanish, Allen passionately believes that cultural and historic sensitivity, coupled with a keen sense of international business, will bring success to companies who are driven to globalize, taking advantage of industrial migration to Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Allen holds a BA in International Affairs from Ohio University (79) where he also chaired the International Student Commission. He received his Masters in International Management from Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management (82). Allen is also an Advisory Council Member of Business for Diplomatic Action, a group established by Keith Reinhard of DDB Worldwide whose mission is to enhance America's image abroad. |
