| Gary K. Lent is Vice President of Engineering for Wilden Pump & Engineering, LLC, the world's largest manufacturer of air operated, double-diaphragm pumps. Wilden is a subsidiary of Dover Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. With over 20 years experience, Lent began his career at the Boeing Company as an Aerodynamicist where he supported Wind Tunnel tests for various commercial jet programs. He was later named Project Manager for the Flight Management Computer for the 777, Boeing's long-range twin-engine jet transport. Lent joined Wilden Pump & Engineering in 1995 as the Manager of Research and Development in charge of Engineering, Testing, and CAD. Wilden has introduced over seventy new products during Lent's tenure while significantly reducing the product launch to product release timeline. Approximately 50% of Wilden's sales come from products less than 6 years old. Lent oversees Wilden's world class 4500 ft2 Technical Center, including automated data acquisition. Lent holds a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University ('86). He received his MS in Fluid Dynamics from the University of Washington in 1992, graduating with honors. He also holds two pump-related patents. Lent has also served on the Board of Directors for the Hydraulic Institute, a globally-recognized organization for pump manufacturers. |
